According to the latest news of Guazhou County, this year, Three Gorges Hengji Energy Pulse (Jiuquan) new energy generation Co., Ltd. invested 4.93 billion yuan in Guazhou County to build 700MW "solar thermal energy storage +" project, among which the early start construction of 100MW solar thermal project is progressing smoothly.

As the first solar thermal power project in Guazhou County, the generating unit of the Three Gorges Hengji Energy Pulse 100MW solar thermal project adopts the tower molten salt solar thermal power technology. At present, the foundation of the absorbing tower on the east and west sides of the project has been completed, and the cylinder body steel banding and template installation are being carried out. The wall of the helostat assembly plant is plasted to 90%, the main plant is demolishing the short column and beam of the foundation, and other construction tasks are being advanced in an orderly manner.

After the completion of the project, it can generate about 235 million KWH of electricity annually, save 80,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide by 200,000 tons, with remarkable economic benefits and energy conservation and emission reduction benefits.

The 700MW "solar thermal energy storage +" project of Three Gorges Hengji Energy Pulse Guazhou is one of the first batch of large base construction projects focusing on desert, Gobi and desert areas approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration. It has been included in the same batch of new energy projects in the four northwest provinces in October 2021, and participated in the national centralized construction ceremony.

Three Gorges Hengji Energy Pulse (Jiuquan) New Energy Power Generation Co., Ltd. is jointly composed of Henderson Energy Pulse New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (holding 51%) and China Three Gorges New Energy (Group) Co., Ltd. (holding 49%).

The total installed capacity of the project is 700,000 kW, including 400,000 kW for wind power project, 100,000 kW for solar thermal project and 200,000 kW for photovoltaic project.
