According to the news of Fujian Mineng Consulting Co., LTD., the main part of Xinjiang Ruoqiang County 100MW solar thermal (energy storage) + 900MW photovoltaic demonstration project supervised by the company officially started on April 15.

The project is located in Ruoqiang County, Bayingoling Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, with a installed capacity of 1GW, including 900 MW of photovoltaic power and 100 MW of solar thermal power. The photovoltaic power station adopts the block power and centralized grid connection scheme, and the solar thermal energy storage power station adopts the tower concentrated light power technology.

Among them, the 100MW solar thermal energy storage power station adopts the tower concentrated light power technology route, and 12,371 pieces 48.5 square meter electric pushrod type medium helostat are designed and installed. The total mirror field area is about 600,000 square meter, the heat storage time is 8h, and the planned land area of the solar thermal area is 1896.6 hectares.

Fujian Mineng Consulting Co., Ltd. said that in the future, it will give full play to rich supervision experience, scientific planning and careful arrangement, adhere to high standards and strict requirements to carry out supervision work, and strive to complete and put into operation the project as soon as possible, and give full play to benefits as soon as possible.

After the completion of the project, it will become an important supporting power source in Ruoqiang County, which can effectively improve and stabilize the grid structure in the region, and is of great significance to accelerate the realization of carbon peak and carbon neutrality in Ruoqiang County, the conversion of superior resources, and the promotion of energy structure adjustment.
