Reported from CSPPLAZA: In 2015, Xinchen CSP built a beam down tower demonstration project with 300kWt capacity in Yancheng, Jiangsu. Based on the technology of beam down, Xinchen CSP is making steady progress in construction of one of the first batch of 20 demonstration projects of China—Yumen Xinneng 50MW tower CSP project, one module of which has been finished.

On July 11th, 2019, Xinchen CSP will hold beam down tower CSP technology exchange conference at Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou.

Yumen Xinneng 50MW molten salt tower CSP demonstration project is the first commercial beam down project around the world, which has won the CSP Technology Innovation Award in CSPPLAZA AWARDS 2018.

Yumen Xinneng project strives to complete installation and make three modules connect to the grid before September 30, 2019. Total planned investment of Yumen Xinneng project is 1.79 billion yuan. It will build 15 heat collecting modules with 9 hours of molten salt energy storage system. After the plant is connected to the grid, it can provide 100% clean electricity to 20,000 households every year.
