The CGN Delingha parabolic trough CSP plant is working now in automated continuous operation since mid-2018. During the optimization and operation stage, all involved project parties have gained substantial amount of know-how and experiences.

Sbp sonne GmbH is pleased to report, that the EuroTrough collector and thus, the key component of the solar field, meets all functional and performance expectations of the plant owners.

At present, the overall plant control is in the scheduled optimization phase to maximize full load hours, use of thermal storage and electric energy delivered to the grid.

With Delingha, SBP and SHOUHANG have proved the EuroTrough technology once again, that it reaches its high optical performance level in most diverse environmental and industrial project setups all around the world by achieving more than 800 000 kWh in a single day.

The 620.000 m² Collector aperture area of Delingha contribute to the more than 5,5 million square meters of successfully installed EuroTrough collectors as shown in the overview below.

Schlaich Bergermann Partner (SBP) participates in 200MW China CSP projects and becomes a typical case for overseas CSP enterprises participating China’s CSP market. So far, it has involved in three demonstration projects:

1) CGN Delingha 50MW parabolic trough project which has put into operation in October, 2018;

2) CPECC Hami 50MW molten salt tower project (In 2017, the combination of SBP and Dongfang Boiler Co.,Ltd. won the EPC contract of concentrating solar heat system of this project) ;

3) CSIC Urat 100MW parabolic trough project which is planned to connect to the grid this year.

In addition, SBP will participate in China International CSP Conference & CSPPLAZA 2019 Annual Conference (CPC2019) as the coffee break sponsor. CPC2019 will be held in Suzhou, China on July 10th~12th.
