Reported from CSPPLAZA: Recently, a consortium organized by China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co., Ltd. & Zhejiang SUPCON Solar Technology Co., Ltd.signed the EPC contract for the Greek MINOS 50MW tower CSP project with the project developer Nur-MOH Heliothermal S.A, which has successfully created an example of Sino-Western cooperation in the third-party market and laid an important foundation for China’s development in the international CSP market.

The project is located on the island of Crete, Greece’s largest island, in the Mediterranean Sea, south of the Aegean Sea. The project utilizes the energy storage function of CSP technology to convert local rich, renewable, clean and pollution-free lighting resources into continuous stable and peak-shaving power resources, and to protect the local ecology while reducing dependence on diesel power generation in the island.

This cooperation is the first “Technology + Equipment + Engineering” mode for China’s CSP technology to go international.
