22 June 2018 – Abengoa (MCE: ABG.B), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructure, energy and water sectors, has been awarded with the CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) Globalization Contribution Award by the largest and highest-level international annual event in China’s CSP industry, CSP Plaza 2018 annual conference.

On behalf of Abengoa, the award was presented to Jose Manuel Lopez Cepeda, Business Development Director for the Energy sector, in a ceremony that brought together over 1,000 professionals of the CSP industry worldwide.

This award lies in the contribution and participation in global major CSP markets, promoting the development of global CSP projects. Abengoa has recently been awarded technology, engineering and support contracts for two new solar thermal projects in China. These achievements are a proof of the world leader position hat Abengoa holds in the solar sector with an installed base of 2.3 GW and having constructed solar plants in four continents.

CSP Plaza 2018 annual conference was held in Beijing (China), between June 20th and 22nd. The last edition was focused to emerging markets such as China, Morocco, United Arab Emirates and Australia which are leading the future development of global CSP market. Seeking balance between development and sustainability has become a common theme in the global CSP industry.
