Reported from CSPPLAZA: On July 12th, the 2019 China International CSP Conference & CSPPLAZA 6th Annual Conference was successfully closed. About 700 delegates and more than 50 exhibitors from the global CSP industry attended the conference.

The conference was fortunate to have invited Simon Benmarraze, Senior Representative of the International Renewable Energy Agency, Luis Crespo, President of Protermosolar and former President of ESTELA, Oliver Baudson, Board Member of the German DCSP, and many other domestic and international distinguished government and industry guests.

CSPPLAZA AWARDS 2019 ceremony was held on the first day of the conference, during which the winners of the three awards were released: Demonstration Project Promotion Award, CSP Technology Innovation Award and Diversified Market Application Award.

Overseas companies made significant gains in the selection and evaluation of the AWARDS. CSP Technology Innovation Award was awarded to Abengoa(develop the SpaceTube® trough collector with 8.2m large aperture and realize its commercialized application), Vast Solar(develop an innovative technology applying sodium as heat transfer fluid, which has been proven in a CSP pilot plant) and the consortium formed by DLR and CSP Services(develop a QFLY trough collector aerial inspection system and reach commercialized application).

The consortium formed by Runh Power Corp. Ltd.& Rackam & Solar Thermal Processes JV won the CSP Diversified Market Application Award, because of Sino-foreign cooperation to promote the development of trough solar thermal power application market.

On the same day, the conference issued the “Building the Global CSP Community Initiative” to delegates and practitioners in the global solar thermal industry.
