The world’s first commercial beam down CSP project to complete installation of conventional islands by June

Reported from CSPPLAZA: Recently, on Yumen Xinchen 50MW CSP project site, the workers are working on the installation of internal equipment of the conventional island.

It is known that the installation and construction of conventional islands, mirror fields and heat storage tanks of the project are currently in progress.

Up to now, the core civil construction of the 1#-10# module has been completed and the beam down mirrors are under assembling.

This is the world’s first commercial beam down tower CSP project. Beam down tower technology adopts the innovative scheme of underlying receiver, which effectively avoids many engineering technical problems brought by molten salt pumping to top tower.

According to the project owner, Jiangsu Xinchen, in theory, using the beam down technology, a power plant can be built within 250 days and connected to the grid for power generation. Beam down technology avoids the design and manufacturing diffculty of molten salt heat receiver and the safety risk during operation.

Jiangsu Xinchen is certain to become the Chief co-organizer of China International CSP Conference(CPC2019) to be held  on 10-12,July, in Suzhou, China. During the conference, Jiangsu xinchen will share in-depth the construction experience of the project. As a new technology,  beam down tower technology is  feasible? Jiangsu Xinchen will  tell you the answer.

To know more details about the project, please join in the CPC2019. For more information about the conference, please contact: Catherine@cspplaza.com
