Reported from CSPPLAZA:On March 26th, the National Energy Administration issued the“Notification of the National Energy Administration on the construction of China’s first batch of Demonstration Projects” (referred to as the “Notification”)to Qinghai Province, Gansu Province, Hebei Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Development and Reform Commission (Energy Administration) and companies related to the first batch of demonstration projects.
According to the contents of the“Notification”, as of February 28, 17 of the 20 demonstration projects submitted a commitment letter as required, of which 16 projects were committed to continue construction, one project explicitly quit. The other three did not submit written commitments.
Specifically, Guohua Yumen 100MW Molten Salt Tower CSP Project explicitly quit, State Power Investment Co. Huanghe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. Delingha 135MW CSP Demonstration Project, Huaneng North United Power Co.Ltd. Urat 50MW fresnel CSP Demonstration Project and Zhongxin Zhangbei New Energy Development CO., Ltd 50MW Fresnel Solar-Thermal Demonstration Project did not make a promise on schedule.

In terms of installed capacity, the total installed capacity of the above four projects is 335MW, which means an decrease from 1,349MW to 1,014MW.

According to CSPPLAZA journalist understanding, the FiT policy for the deferred operation of the demonstration projects will be implemented in four gradients. The specific implementation is as follows:
