For our office in Stuttgart we are looking for a Lead Software Architect / Engineer who shares our passion for solar energy. If you have the necessary knowledge, we would also be pleased to receive applications from mechanical engineers, physicists or others with similar qualifications.
You will support us in the development and calculation of solar fields for solar thermal power plants. Your main focus is the development of software for the simulation (raytracing) and analysis of heliostat fields and parabolic troughs as well as other systems for the use of renewable energies.
Your main tasks are
Software architecture design and software engineering for ray tracing using CUDA and for other applications
Conception and specification of architectures and interfaces
Further development, new development, test and deployment of our in-house applications
Project implementation according to agile methods in close cooperation with our engineers
Continuously check and improve software quality
Recognition and spurring of innovations
Exchange of knowledge and experience with team colleagues
Mentoring of Junior Software Engineers
We expect professional experience as a software architect / engineer, alternatively a master’s degree as an engineer or a related field of study, and in any case very good programming knowledge e.g. in Matlab, Python, C# or similar and a solid understanding of software architecture, software engineering, optics, mechanics and thermodynamics, or the willingness to quickly expand your existing knowledge and skills. Ideally, you already have three or more years of professional experience, and you already know what is important with heliostats and parabolic trough collectors.
Fluent German and English as well as the willingness to occasionally go on a business trip round off your profile.
