EPC procurement bidding of the 3 islands of CSN’s 50MW CSP project in Delingha is under way. According to relevant sources, EPC bidding is expected to be closed by August.
Currently, tender for conventional island is closed. CEDC NWEPDI(Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co. Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Institute Group) won the bidding. Allegedly, the owner expects the foundation excavation work to get started by mid-August.
According to sources, open EPC tender of solar island is originally scheduled on 5 Aug, which is postponed to 26 Aug. The source said, leading domestic and overseas industry players such as Abengoa and Ener-t are actively preparing to participate in the tender.
EPC bidding of heat transfer/storage system happened on 17 June, which led to a much big bidding price gap(the gap between the highest and the lowest is over￥100million, a number almost 1/3 of the system’s investment). Therefore, the owner decided to rebid, with a undetermined time.
In the lately closed Qinghai CSP symposium, senior leaders of CGN reported to LiuQi, Deputy Director of NEA, “We set four goals for the 50MW CSP project in Delingha. First, constructing a large-scale commercial CSP plant with high quality. Second, establishing a technical standard system of trough CSP project. Third, cultivating a number of talents for project development and O&M. Fourth, building a CSP industry alliance.”
