CSP Mechanical Engineer — Vast Solar

Vast Solar is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer who has experience in the design and modelling of CSP thermal systems.

The responsibilities of this role include:

Process and piping design of high temperature thermal power systems
Design of high efficiency thermal cycles including Rankine cycles.
Complex modelling of dynamic process systems for transient thermal analysis.
Ability to develop numerical dynamic code (Matlab)
Process Engineering skills and experience within the CAD environment

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

A Bachelor of Engineering (BSC), Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. This is a minimal and essential requirement.
Demonstrated experience in the design and modelling of CSP thermal systems. This is an essential requirement
At least two years industrial experience in the CSP industry or research sector
This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading Australian technology company that is commercialising new generation concentrated solar thermal power (CSP) technology. We have a collegiate team culture and look forward to bringing the right person on board, offering a competitive salary, inclusive of superannuation, of $60 000 – $75 000 commensurate with skills and experience.
