Reported from CSPPLAZA: In accordance with the guiding ideology of the seminar, organized by the National Energy Administration before the New Year, on the construction of the first batch of CSP demonstration projects, the project owners should submit the commitment letter to make sure to continue the relative project by February 28 (yesterday) . It is understood that the vast majority of project owners have submitted formal commitments and strive to put the project into operation as soon as possible. However, there are also individual project owners who have not submitted a commitment.
The vast majority of project parties actively responded to the government-related spirit and promised to push the progress of the project as soon as possible, demonstrating the confidence and determination in successfully building the first batch of demonstration projects. The year 2018 is a node time when the first batch of demonstration projects can enjoy a electricity price of RMB 1.15. If the project fails to be grid-connected by the end of 2018, it must accept the relevant provisions of the project extension and tariff linkage mechanism.
In addition, enterprises that did not issue a commitment letter by the end of February will be regarded as voluntary forfeit according to the relevant guiding principles. This also means that some demonstration projects have lost the demonstration qualification.
By this mean , projects being able to continue to promote the construction can be determined. The extension and tariff linkage mechanism determined that the earlier the project was put into operation, the higher the electricity price can be enjoyed. To this end, all project parties will also make every effort to promote the progress of the project construction and strive to put the project into operation as soon as possible.
On this basis, the relevant policies for project extension will be formally introduced in the near future.
After the Spring Festival holidays, a number of demonstration projects have started to resume work one after another. In 2018, there will be a boom in the construction of China’s CSP projects. Through this year’s concentrated construction, some projects will be grid-connected and a number of projects will take shape in China’s northwestern land, which will lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of China’s CSP industry.
