The electric quantity of concentrated solar power occupies 4.1% in Spain in July

According to the source of energy generation, 20.6% was nuclear, 18.8% of coal, 17.8% of combined cycle, 15.5% was wind, 10.8% came from the Cogeneration, 5.3% hydropower, 4.2% photovoltaic solar, 4.1% solar thermal, 1.3% of waste, and 1.6% of other renewable energy.

Peninsular demand for electricity in July is estimated at 22,423 GWh, 0.9% higher than that recorded in the same month of the previous year. Taking into account the effects of the calendar and the temperatures, the peninsular demand for electrical energy has increased by 0.9% compared to July 2016.

In the first seven months of the year, the demand for electricity in the Iberian peninsula is estimated at 147,417 GWh, 1% more than in 2016. Once the influence of the calendar and temperatures has been corrected, demand for electricity has increased by 1, 4% compared to the previous year.

Wind production in July reached 3,316 GWh, down 4.3% from the same month last year, accounting for 15.5% of total production.

In July, with the information estimated to date, generation from renewable energy sources has represented 31% of production.

51.3% of electricity production this month came from technologies that do not emit CO2.
